| Saving Tool Palettes |

I did not realize this...and maybe you didn't either. However, a user who was having problems brought this to my attention.
If you create custom tool palettes in AutoCAD Architecture, they get saved to the active or current project. So, if you want a tool palette to be available to all your projects, you can't have any projects open.
To do this, open the Project Browser, locate the active project (hint - it's the one in bold). Right click on it and select Close Current Project.

| Dave Kohr of CVIS, an Autodesk reseller, offers readers of CADzette a chance to get the lowest price possible to attend AU.
Here's how to do it:
- User registers at AU website
- User signifies reseller (CVIS reseller code: GCHCVI)
- User enters ATC code for additional discount: 150ATC (identical for ALL ATCs)
- User Enters specific ATC code provided by ATC location (CVIS Fresno ATC code: AM3437)
You do not have to be a CVIS customer to use this code. David is being kind enough to let anyone who is a CADzette reader to "share the joy" for an opportunity to attend AU.
Unfortunately, if you have already registered, you can not go back and apply any codes. However, you can call 888-371-1722 or email the AU registration team at autodeskuniversity@autodeskevents.com and see if they will let you retroactively apply the codes. (Let me know if you are successful!)
So, mark your calendars as the early board discount expires on October 7th.

| Heading to Vegas |

While I have heard from a couple of colleagues who were hoping to meet me at AU, I'm not planning on going. However, my all women softball team is going to be playing in the Las Vegas World Softball tournament.
Coincidentally, the softball tournament is being held the weekend of December 1-3, the weekend after AU is over. I plan to stay somewhere on the strip, so if you are staying past AU and want to see me play softball or meet for a drink after a game, drop me an email.
