This week's ezine is abbreviated due to injury. I took
a spill off my horse last Friday afternoon and
fractured my collarbone. The doc said I was almost
bad enough to require surgery. In the meantime, I
can only type with my left hand, which wouldn't be
so bad except that I am right-handed.
My horse is fine though and looking forward to when I can get back in the saddle. |

Scott Gilbert, a charming instructor at the Doncaster
College for the Deaf in Great Britain, emailed me with
a particular problem...the desire to create a garden
or bay window in ADT 2005.
ADT 2005 comes with a bay window in the Imperial Styles, but no bay window in the metric windows styles folder. Another example of our American- centric ways? But, Scott wanted a bay window with multiple panes, and the bay window available in the Imperial window styles folder features picture windows. I could create a window assembly which used multiple panes, but could not get it to work with the existing bay window style. I admit I cheated a bit...rather than create my solid model in ADT, I used Inventor. I then saved it as an acis file and imported into ADT using ascisin. Once I had the solid model in ADT, I was able to move forward and create the window style I wanted. Yes, it is still a kluge as far as I am concerned, but it works. |

Well, AU is over and that means AUGI elections are
on-hand. The end of AU signified the end of the
period when candidates could submit to run for the
AUGI Board of Directors.
Having served on the AUGI BOD, I can say it was an honor and a privilege. But even nicer was getting the votes to serve, so honor your peers by checking out the candidates and voting for the ones you deem most worthy. |
