Bookmarking In Explorer
If you are using a server, or even if you aren't, you might want to bookmark the paths to get to your favorite areas, so you don't have to constantly be searching through your browser tree.

Another quick trick is to copy the path from the field on the top of the explorer window using Ctl-C and then pasting the path into your email using Ctl-V when you want to tell them where to go on the server to locate files they need.

Two More Lisp Routines for Civil Users

Faithful reader, Skyler Mills from Rhode Island, writes:

Thanks for your newsletter today, as always.

Attached are two slope listers; SLOPELST lists the percent slope, grade (as in 2H:1V, etc) angle, dx, dy and length of a line.  This is usually used for cross sections drawn at 1:1 (ie no vertical exaggeration) or profiles drawn at 1:1.

S5 is just like the above, but it's meant for profiles drawn at 5 times vertical exaggeration.

Glad to hear you and your teammates are good sports; sorry I missed AU.

Best wishes,

Skyler

Best Wishes for a Wonderful New Year

Thanks for hanging in there with me during 2007.  I hope this ezine helps you become more productive, enjoy your job more, and learn something new once in a while.

I feel very blessed to have so many fans, supporters, and true kindred spirits in my life.

I learn so much from you.  Thank you for asking me those pesky questions because they really do make me think about new and better ways of getting the job done.

Thank you for inviting me into your in-box every Friday.  We all are buried with data, spam, and various digital communications, so I appreciate that you are willing to take the time to read CADzette.  I hope that I remain worthy of that honor.
Thanks to our December Sponsor
